Bo’ness update – 37025 & 37403
At Bo’ness the restoration of 37403 is coming along well, with the power unit now almost complete. A lot of time has been taken stripping off the old paint from inside the engine room, and repainting it. A set of cast bogies has been acquired which will speed up getting the loco back on a decent set prior to going mainline. 37025 meanwhile has had its first bogie overhaul completed, and work has been ongoing with the overhaul of its Clayton steam generator and the fitting of ETH jumper receptacles for through-wiring the loco so that it can run with any loco so fitted.
