| The former L&YR branch line from Bury to Rawtenstall was re-opened in 1987 and is now arguably Britain’s premier preserved diesel line. The railway now runs services to Heywood, giving a length of 12 miles. The railway hold regular diesel galas as well as the Saturday diesel diagram providing five round trips throughout the year. |
