37421 has left Studley and moved to its new home on the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway.

The locos for this weekends ELR Diesel Event have arrived at Bury from Kidderminster and Ruddington respectivley. Photos here and here

40145 deputised for a pair of DB class 37's on Saturday when it worked a Portsmouth - Penzance charter forward from Westbury. Photos are here here and here

D7076 has undergone a test run after the fitting of an MD655 engine. A photo is here. Video is here

Barrow Hill Engine Shed will be holding a 'Twin Engine/ Type ‘5' Gala' on August 8/9 featuring D1015, D1023, 55019, 55022, 56101 and it is also hoped to have 56040 and 56098 on site for the event. More details are here

The Llangollen Diesel Group have announced that both 25313 and 46010 are to leave the care of the group and move to new homes in preservation away from the Llangollen Railway. Recent acquisition 26010 is expected to arrive at the line during July. The destinations of 25313 and 46010 will be made public in due course.

Timetables and Loco Rosters for the East Lancs Railway July Diesel event are here. Due to ongoing repairs D444 is unable to attend and its place will be taken by 47843 which will also undertake the loco moves from Kidderminster and Ruddington.

An updated timetable for this weekends Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway Diesel Event is here. 37219 is unable to take part because of a battery problem.

A consortium of the locomotive owning groups and the Severn Valley Railway is embarking on a project to construct a depot building at Kidderminster to be used to maintain the railways diesel fleet. So far the diesel groups and the railway have managed to find £170,000 to put towards the cost of the facility, but the cost will be closer to £250,000, so we need your help. More details are here

The restoration of 50050 to working order took a big step forward yesterday with the loco taking power for the first time in nine years and undertaking short test runs at the Yeovil Railway Centre. This follows the installation of an overhauled 'KV10' load regulator unit. However, much work remains to be done on the locomotive before it can be regarded as serviceable. A photo is here

The DPS's D9009 has moved to the Nene Valley Railway for a summer visit. The loco was hauled from Barrow Hill by 66722 - a photo is here

37248 has moved from Ruddington to Butterley to take part in this weekends 'EE Event'. A photo is here

The Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway Summer Diesel Event takes place over three days on July 10-12. The Friday will be a 'ShunterFest' - timetable and loco roster here before the weekend sees a more traditional operation featuring visiting locos 20154 and 33109. Long term visitor 31162 will make its last appearance at the line before returning to Butterley. Timetable and loco roster is here

26010 made its last run at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway on Sunday as the locos sale has been finalised and it will be moving to a new home at the Llangollen Railway. It is expected that two of the current Llangollen residents will be leaving the line for pastures new.
