Mid Norfolk Railway Diesel Gala Confirmation

Movement arrangements have been confirmed for the Mid-Norfolk Railway for D335 and 55022 to travel from The East Lancs to Dereham. This is the only planned visit of D335 away from the East Lancs this year and the first for some time.

We have also just had confirmation that Direct Rail Services will be sending us a class 37 which as the gala is English Electric, fits right in. By popular request, we will also be fitting in a short run with our Class 08 pilot, 08631.

Following on from a successful mixed traffic event in February, this event is sure to bring in the crowds with a popular variety of traction. Proceeds will also go towards our shed appeal, further details can be found here: http://www.mnr.org.uk/help/shed/

Autumn/Winter RAT’s are generally topped and tailed to ensure that rail conditions do not affect the booked mainline connection at Alton, with the last Waterloo service at 23:44.
